How to install your new Rockshox Boxxer
If you're reading this, we're sending you an awesome new downhill bike with a Rockshox Boxxer.
In order to fit the bike in a box, we have removed the fork from the crown, this will need some assembly before your first ride.
The first thing you'll need to do is remove the bike from the box and grab the fork. Push the uppers into the clamps on the crown, make sure you don't tighten the bolts at this stage,
Adjust the upper tubes so that the distance between the top of the upper crown and the top of the lower crown is 156 mm (± 2 mm), and there is at least 2 mm from the top of the upper crown to the top of the fork leg.
Make sure the upper tubes are level in the clamps then Tighten the 4 lower crown bolts to 5 N•m (44 in-lb), then re-tighten the 2 uppermost bolts to 5 N•m (44 in-lb).
Once you've done that, Tighten the upper crown bolts to 5 N•m (44 in-lb).
All you need to do then is fit your bars, get your pedals on and go ride!
